Thank you for sharing your story. I just returned from my Dad’s funeral in NY. He had heart disease and listened to the symptoms of his body. On Tues. Feb. 9th, he went to the hosp. while suffering a massive heart attack and received excellent care. Unfortunately, the damage was too extensive for him to overcome the resultant congestive heart failure, and he died several days later. In the interim, however, the entire family was able to rally around him and spend quality time. What a blessing.
After septupal bypass surgery in 1994, he exercised, watched his weight and continued to live an active life. The family is grateful that he cared for himself because we were priveleged to have him until 88 years of age. Now we all are aware of the need to listen to the symptoms of heart disease.
Debbie, I’m so sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. No matter how old you are, it is hard to lose your dad! Take care of yourself!
